Talent, Temperament & Beauty

Photo by Brian Wilcox, Connecticut Photo

Tanzeln is a lovely stallion with three excellent, well balanced gaits. He received a 9 on both his walk and his canter (most important for a dressage career) and an 8 on his trot from the ATA Inspection Committee. His temperament is excellent and he has a wonderful work ethic.

Tanz's sire, Enrico Caruso *Ps*E* is one of the top Dressage producing stallions in Germany and sired the well-known Trakehner stallion Kostolony. Tanzeln's dam line is that of Dankeschön III, known for producing significant stallions, with a strong foundation, great lines and impulsion in all gaits -- this is the family of Schöner Abend, Schwarzdorn and Tannenberg.

Having completed his performance requirements, Tanzeln is currently in training with a FEI-level dressage trainer in Texas.

Tanzeln's offspring (first crop was foaled in 2005) are living up to their sire's great promise. His 8 month old filly took an 81.5% and reserve championship at her very first in-hand show.

In training with Nina Romkowski - Nina has done a great job with Tanz under-saddle. He is quick to learn, very willing to work, and so balanced that the basics just come naturally.

October 2003 Trakehner Stallion Approvals 2003 photo by Pam Norton

Very good, fluid, supple, ground-covering walk. Good trot with rythmic uphill movement. Very good, balanced uphill canter with reaching hind leg engagement.

Good willing jumper showing good technique and bascule. Relaxed way over jumps.

Excellent temperament in a middle weight stallion. Good athleticism and movement in all the gaits. Should help mares who need movement and athletic ability.

Special thanks to Russell Oden, Ida Anderson, Willette Brown, Jess Fortin & Eva Oldenbroek - all who have helped us immensely and loved Tanz in the process over the past several years.
