June 5, 2002 blood bay Trakehner gelding by Emeer out of Nicole by Butow. After 4 months of professional training, Nitzsche is going very solidly walk/trot/canter, just learning turn on the forehand and leg yield at the walk. He's cheerful and willing and wants to please. Nitzsche was imprinted at birth and has been handled daily. He exhibits great uphill movement - jumps anything he can, & has that great "light-footed" trot . Nitzsche won champion colt in the Cedar Trace II USDF breed show on 09/14/03, qualified for the series finals, and finished 6th overall in the regional championship (pictures will be posted soon). He's big-eyed, bright colored (bright bay) & very handsome. Nitzsche currently stands 16h as a late 3 year old and should finish around 16.2h with excellent potential as a dressage prospect or eventer/hunter. His sire, Emeer, was sired by the great trakehner Habicht (also the sire of Sixtus & Windfall), responsible for many successful eventing horses. His dam, Nicole, carries the best of the trakehner bloodlines. She's by Butow out of Natasha by Morgenglanz. She has a glorious walk & trot, a good canter & a great jump... Currently priced at $15,000 - price will increase with additional training.
